Roles & Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Executive Leadership team for the Agency, the regional compliance administrator guides agency's Nursing Home administrators to ensure development, initiation, maintenance, and revision of policies and procedures for the general operation of multiple skilled nursing facilities across the Arizona to ensure compliance with requirements of the Department, as well as preventing illegal or improper conduct or actions.
  • The Regional Compliance Administrator develops and periodically reviews the standards of conduct to ensure continuing relevance in providing proper information to management and employees of the Agency.
  • Collaborates with other member of the Executive Leadership to ensure agency policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets or exceeds the minimum standards of conduct and disposition.
  • Provides technical expertise and insight in a consultative or advisory capacity to assist the Deputy Director and Director in the oversight of administrators of skilled nursing facilities.
  • If an Administrator position is vacated, this position will serve as the interim Administrator until a new Administrator is hired.
  • This position will assist with the opening of a skilled nursing facility in Arizona to include assisting the Administrator with the Department initial surveys and subsequent licensure.

Skills Required

  • Managing and directing the overall activities of multiple long-term care/skilled nursing facilities
  • Interpretation and application of all rules and regulations pertaining to the operation of long-term care/skilled nursing.
  • Developing policies and procedures

Skills Preferred

  • Nursing home administration principles and practices.
  • Federal and State laws governing the operations of the Arizona State.
  • Law, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care/skilled nursing facility administration

Experience Required - Long-term care/skilled nursing facilities

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, although a master’s degree is desired, in Health Administration or closely related field of study.
  • A minimum of 5-6 year experience in the administration of skilled nursing facilities.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator License

Additional Information

  • Must possess current license to practice as a Nursing Home Administrator.
  • Frequent in-state travel is required.
  • Position requires driving in the course of conducting State Business.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
